DIGITAL INTERACTIVE CLASSROOM IS THROUGH EDUSAT

Introduction

The revolutionary launch of a dedicated satellite for Education in year 2004 has a very great significance in the annals of the history of development of education in the country. We are perhaps the only country in the world to have the unique privilege of having such an enormous capability of satellite communication to support effective distance education through various modes. It is specially configured for audio-visual medium, employing digital interactive classroom and multimedia multicentric system.

Our country’s strength in IT, and availability of EDUSAT facilities for ICT would be of a great help in achieving the desired goals of reaching the unreached with low costs.

In order to spread quality education and easier information dissemination we will be establishing a state wide dedicated network by connecting the MPBOU HQ with its Regional Centres and Study Centres through a secured and cost effective system. The major objective behind the connectivity is to deliver quality education and other useful trainings, presentations to the end user or the target group of the various sectors of education using broadband network like VSAT’s.
