MASTER OF LIBRARY SCIENCE (MLIS)

 

OBJECTIVES  
  • Ø      To acquaint the students with the Organisation and development of the Universe of knowledge and with the Research Organisations and Research Methodology.

  • Ø      To give the students specialised knowledge in respect of the kind of reading materials and different types of Libraries. Ø 

  • Ø      To make the students proficient in Advanced Library techniques/Methodology of Documentation and Advance Management of selected types of Libraries.

DURATION  

This course shall be of one year.

ELIGIBILITY  

For admission to M.Lib. & Inf. Sc. Course, the minimum requirements are:

i)  Bachelor’s degree, followed by Degree or P.G. Diploma in Lib. & Information Science from a recognised University/Institution.
